Welcome to room 109! Mrs. Dragotta's class is excited to post their first blog post of the year.
We're in 3rd grade at Conway Elementary School, where tiger pride begins. We live in South Carolina in the Outer Coastal Plains. We love school because it's a no bully zone!
We've been learning about the 6 regions of South Carolina and tomorrow we'll visit the Coastal Zone.
The Coastal Zone is beside the Atlantic Ocean. There's lots of sand here because of the beaches. You might be able to find fish bones or sea shells there. We learned that the Yemmassee Native Americans lived in the Coastal Zone near the Savannah River basin. They were pushed south into Georgia back when explorers were first coming to America.
We'll take pictures of our field trip and post them next week!
